Nowhere is it written, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of men.” Yet the scriptures shout out in Romans 3:23, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD.” When you one day stand before Him on His glorious throne in judgment (and you will), you will not be measured against any standard but His holiness. You may not be as evil as the rapists, murderers, hypocrites, thieves, and Hitlers of the world – but you do not hold a candle to the holiness of God. Compared to Him, we are all depraved. Your only hope is to enter that moment already knowing Christ, for, “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:18 ESV). How amazing it will be in that day to hear, “I know you. Well done my good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your Master.” In order for this to happen though you must know the the Judge – the King – before you ever set foot in His court. His name is Jesus the Christ, Son of the Living God.
