I have been in a KJV mode lately – mainly because I recently purchased Alexander Scourby’s reading of the KJV on Audible and I find his voice to be superior to all other Bible narrators I have heard. While it is not the first choice in modern biblical scholarship, the King James Version is unmatched in the beauty of its language and is perhaps the easiest version to memorize. I decided to splurge today and get my first KJV Study Bible (though not my first KJV in general). My goal now is to read it along with Scourby’s narration. I am excited to dig into this time honored translation of the word of God.
